Charlie Harger
Profile
Charlie Harger has been with KOMO Newsradio since 2002. Charlie wears many hats in the KOMO Newsroom: he is a news anchor, he hosts our long-form interview show "Beyond the Headlines," and he writes and produces promotional messages for KOMO Newsradio.
Prior to his work with KOMO, Charlie worked at radio stations throughout Western Washington, with stops in Centralia, Olympia and Bellingham. In the 90's, Charlie was a project manager for Microsoft, where he was a pioneer in getting radio stations nationwide to stream online using Windows Media. He remains strongly involved in social media and podcasting.
When he's not working at his full-time job at KOMO, Charlie works part-time as an instructor for Green River Community College. He teaches students at the award winning college radio stations, KGRG AM and KGRG FM, about radio broadcasting and new media.
Charlie grew up in Edmonds. He lives in Kent with his beautiful wife, his lovely daughter, and his two yappy dogs.
